 Information Technologies Department (IT) is a structural subdivision of ATU, which provides with an introduction of the modern information technologies in education process in the unified information sphere. 

In 2004 the official web site of ATU was created, which is an information resource of the University, and the office of information technologies realizes the support to the web site. With the aims of development of information infrastructure at the University the local net functions, which unites all education and administration subdivisions, and an access to global net Internet is provided. 
 IT provides with technical service of computer, telecommunication and office equipments. It carries out centralized providing with program products of computer systems of the University, introduction and technical providing of program products, functioning in the local net of the University. Base of administration, education-methodic documentation education portal, electronic library, media library, database on provision of education-methodic complexes of specialties and disciplines have been created. Realization of the aims and problems of information support create conditions for education quality improving at the expense of effective use of the modern information technologies, and that contributes to rational use of the resources of ATU, high-qualified pedagogical staff, preparation of specialists of the modern level, and also creation of electronic education materials and program-methodic provision. Automated system of education process management “Tamos University Suite” includes entirely all subdivisions of the University and allows carrying out a work as in global, so in local nets. In library the program “Cataloguer Rabis” is used, there are computer classes for graduation and term projecting at special chairs.
