  The library of ATU has a rich choice of education, scientific, study-methodic literature, periodical editions, magazines and papers in State, Russian and foreign languages.
  The history of library of Almaty technological university begins with 1957. To the beginning of 60th years already there has been a system of alphabetic, regular, service catalogues and card files. In 1980 departments of acquisition and processing of the literature, information-bibliographic and service have been open. In 1984 in the library the card file biblio-supportability and the interlibrary subscription for the first time has been entered.

   

 Vast basis of literature on electronic and magnetic mediums is created. The computerization of library-bibliographic processes is carried out on the basis of the automated library program «RABIS». The library is completed according to a structure of university, curricula and applications of faculties.

 The fund of the scientific, scientific and technical and scientifically methodical literature includes monographs, dissertations, authors abstracts, scientific magazines, and collections of materials of conferences.
 The fund of periodicals of library is presented by the trade papers corresponding structures of specialist preparation, and also completed with mass central both local political magazines and newspapers. Separate catalogue on books providing in the library. At present time the library serves more than ten thousands readers per year.
