Successful development of fields of food and light industry in Kazakhstan requires staff with high special education in these spheres. This determined the necessity of creation of Technological economical college of ATU (TEC ATU).
The college was founded on July 12, 2005. Director Atanova Mastura Mardanovna heads the collective of the college.
Many leading teachers of ATU work at TEC. Today the collective of TEC consists of 100 pedagogues and 2000 students. The collge realizes preparation of specialists of high professional unit in the sphere of techniques and technologies, economy and services on the following specialties: · Technology of clothing manufacture

· Organization of service of hotel and tourism complexes
· Marketing 4 cycle methodical commissions function at TEC: · Social humanitarian disciplines;
· Finance economical disciplines;
· Special disciplines.
All the conditions for teaching and practical preparation of students are provided at the college. The college has the modern material technical base, which necessary for classes. There are a library, computer and education classes, and laboratories in own campus of the college.
New technologies of education, methodic of training, actual scientific achievements are introduced into the education training process of the college. Professional practice carries out at different enterprises. The leading specialists from manufacture are attracted for conducting of practice. During the time of manufacturing practice many students of the college are provided with work. In 2005-2006 the first launch was realized – in year of the 50th anniversary of the University 109 students graduates from the college.
There are active works on expanding relations with manufacture, improving of international cooperation and attracting the young to getting an education at TEC ATU in the prospective of college development.
