Departments and chairs > Machines and apparatus of food products Department “Machines and apparatus of food productions” was organized in 1975 in Almaty branch of Dzhambul Technological Institute of light and food industry on the basis of “Special technologies” department. Bobeyev Abdrakhman Bobeyevich became the head of the department. For the following years the chair was headed by the leading scientists of the republic in the field of food and processing industry mechanization, c.t.s.,docent Istayev Zhumabai Mahashevich, d, t. s., professor Izbassarov Duisebai Sailaubayevich. d.t.s., professor Konstantin Rudolfovich, d.t.s., professor Bekbayev Amangeldy Bekbayevich.,d.t.s., professor Ospanov Asan Bekeshevich, c.t.s., docent Kuzembayev Kanat Kuzembayevich, d.t.s., professor Rskeldiyev Berdan Abdazimovich. This Chair is one of the biggest University departments to prepare engineer –mechanics and experts for the food and processing branches of the agro-industrial complex of the RK. The students of the chair are in great demand and beginning with the senior courses they are able to have their practice at the enterprises of food industry, where after graduation successfully continue work.
Since 1978 over 400 engineer –mechanics have been released from the chair on specialty “Machines and apparatus of food productions.” Graduates of the chair have the opportunity to continue studies as masters and post-graduates and after successful completion they are attracted to participate in the scientific and pedagogical life of the University.
At present 5 doctors and 15 candidates of sciences work at the chair. The staff of the chair has prepared over 15 candidates of sciences.
Scientific elaborations of the chair include works in the sphere of creating new and improving the existing machines and apparatus, used in various fields of food industry, analysis and perfection of lines and complexes of food productions. The chair has been making priority elaboration for the food concentrate branch concerned with the perspective of the branch development on the base of new technology and equipment implementation and organization of labour.
There has been elaborated a new conception of national grouts food concentrate development in the monograph, issued in 1999. The academic staff of the chair has obtained more than 250 author certificates and patents for invention. In the framework of the conception students do real course and diploma projects on production order. The projects are aimed at the development of the new technological lines and equipment, comprising complex production.
Considerable contribution in the development of molar grain was made by professors of ATU Kuzembayev K.K., docent Surashov A.A. They have developed new technology of getting “tary”, “dzhent”, “talkan”, and constructed new types of machines, including new models of modern bakery ovens.
The department staff at the head of professor Repp K,R. conducted research on the aspiration improvement system and pneumotrasport for food industry enterprises. On purpose enterprise orders the scientists of the chair elaborated actions to decrease harmful wastes in the atmosphere. For bakery enterprises there have been developed dough rolling and dough cutting equipment at high exactness.
The chair made significant contribution to publish methodical literature for training engineer mechanics. Several generations of students and specialists are being taught on the textbooks, teaching aids and monographs of the professors of the chair Repp R.K., Kuzembayev K.K., Medvedkov E.B., TLegenov Sh.T., Yerkebayev M.Zh.
With the transition to the credit system of teaching creation of new specialty and discipline academic–instructive complexes has been activated. Now translation of textbooks and teaching aids into the state language the authors of which are leading specialists of the department Repp R.K., Medvedkov Y.B., docents of the chair “Technology of bakery products” Roslyakov M.G., Lartalova M.C. and others is being done.
The department is equipped by the modern laboratories with patterns and samples of technological equipment, computer classes where students acquire programs of virtual projecting of master classes and enterprises.
